Like elsewhere, Christmas, Good Friday and Easter are special occasions for Christians in Kerala. The occasions of Saint Thomas Day and St. Francis Xavier Day are also marked by grand celebrations. Church feasts are also celebrated in a grand manner. The statues of apostles are kept near the altar in churches named after them. The annual feasts of churches are attended by people of all faiths.
