Anikkattilamma Pongala

Anikkattilamma Siva Parvathy Temple is one of the temples in Kerala dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Goddess Parvathy at Mallappally in Pathanamthitta district. In this temple, both the God and Goddess are installed in a single sanctum sanatorium and are worshipped as Agnimahakalan and Agniyekshi.
The annual Pongala festival is celebrated for eight days starting from Rohini asterism and ends with the Pongala offering by the women devotees on the Pooram asterism in the Malayalam month of Kumbham (February-March).
The temple is situated on the banks of River Manimala.
