Arattu Festival

Azhakotha Mahadeva temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located at Kuzhalmannam in Kannur. The temple celebrates its annual festival in the Malayalam month of Dhanu (December – January). The festival will witness elephant procession and the various Melam like Panchavadyam, Panchari and Pandi conducts by the artistes.
The temple dates back to 14th century C.E and the Lord Shiva here is worshipped in the form of Kirathamoorthy.
