Arattu of Matsyavatara Mahavishnu Temple

One of the rare temples in Kerala, the Matsyavatara Mahavishnu Temple at Meenangadi is dedicated to the first incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Matysam (Fish). Located in Wayanad, the annual arattu festival of this festival falls in the Malayalam month of Kumbham (February-March) from 1-6. The main attraction of the festival is the arattu procession. 

The Prathishta dinam of the temple is celebrated on Makayiram asterism in the Malayalam month of Makaram (January- February).
