Ashtami Festival

Popularly known as Tiruvimbilappan, the presiding deity of Venganellur temple is Lord Shiva. Situated 13 km north east of Watakkanchery, the temple celebrates its annual festival on the ashtami day in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam (November-December).
During the Malayalam month of Medam, Chakiarkoothu will be conducted regularly for 30 days. Sivarathri is also celebrated here.
