Mariamman Festival

Mariamman Temple, located at Sulthan Bathery, is one of the famous temples in Wayanad. The annual festival of this temple falls in the Malayalam month of Kumbham (February-March) is noted for the Thaalapoli. The annual festival lasts for seven days and on the first day of the festival, farmer’s present pepper as an offering to the deity for getting a good harvest.
