Manakkattu Pongala Festival

Manakkattu Sree Bhadra Temple is one of the Bhadrakali temples located in Kottayam District in Kerala. Every year the temple celebrates Pongala festival on Pathamudyam - tenth day of Malayalam month of Medam (Mid April).
Mandala season (November – January) is also very auspicious here. Narangavilakku (lemon lamp) is an important offering of the temple and is conducted on Fridays from 1030hrs to 1130 hrs.
