Poora Mahotsavam

Malliyottu Palottu Kavu, located at Kunhimangalam in Kannur, is dedicated to Palottu Daivam (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu). The temple annually celebrates Poora Mahotsavam in the Malayalam month of Meenam (March - April).
The festival begins on the Karthika asterism and ends on the Pooram asterism. Kazhakam Kayaral, a ritual procession to Annekkara Poomala temple will be held on Makariyam asterism. Chovvavilakku Adiyanthiram, another ritual, will be held on the fourth day.
The festival also witness folk art forms performances like Marathukali, Poorakkali and Thozhuthupattu.
