Neyyattinkara Arattu

Sree Krishnaswami temple at Neyyattinakara is a historically significant temple with Lord Krishna as the main deity. The main offering of the temple is Venna (butter). Every year the temple celebrates the ten-day annual Arattu festival on Rohini asterism on the Malayalam month of Meenam (March-April).
The temple also celebrates festivals like Vishu and Ashtami Rohini.
The remnants of “Ammachi Plavu”, the Mother Jackfruit tree, which is believed to have protected the Maharaja Marthanda Varma when surrounded by enemies, can be seen.
