Thrikaviyoor Thiru Utsavam

Thrikaviyoor Mahadeva Temple, located around 6 kms away from Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district, is a popular Lord Shiva temple in Kerala. Though the main deity is Shiva, the temple is also renowned for sub-shrine dedicated to Lord Hanuman inside the temple. 

The temple celebrates annual festivals like Thiru Utsavam, Hanuman Jayanthi, Panthrandu Kalabham and Uthrattathi Thirunal

Thiru Utsavam, the annual ten-day festival is celebrated with Kodiyettam (ceremonial flag hoisting) on the Thiruvathira asterism in the Malayalam month of Dhanu and ends with the arattu (holy bath) ceremony of the deity.  

Panthrandu Kalabham is celebrated from 1st to 12th in the Malayalam month of Chingam (August-September). And the Uthrattathi Thirunal is celebrated on Uthrattathi asterism in the Malayalam month of Makaram (January- February). Sivarathri is also celebrated here.
