Sapthami and Ashtami Festival

Date:19-12-2019 to 20-12-2019

The Thodikkulam Siva Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is said to have been constructed 2000 years ago. The temple celebrates Sivarathri in the Malayalam month of Kumbham (Mid February- Mid March) and 'Sapthami' and 'Ashtami' in Malayalam month of Vrishchiikam (November-December). One of the noted features of the temple is that elephant is restricted here for the festivals. During festival days 'Thidambu Nritham' and 'Bhagavathy Theyyam' are performed.

Located 2 km from Kannavam on the Thalassery-Mananthavady Road, this temple is famous for its mural paintings. The temple has the sanctum sanctorum constructed in two-storeys and is rectangular in shape.
