Sree Randumoorthy Temple at Thiruvalathur is one of the 108 temples founded by Lord Parasurama. Dedicated to two forms of Mother Goddess - Mahishasuramardhini and Annapurnneswari, the temple celebrates its annual ten-day festival which ends on the Karthika asterism in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam (November-December). The major attraction of the festival is the lighting of Chuttuvilakku (stone lamps) surrounding the temple.

Situated on the banks of Sokanasini River at Thiruvalathur in Palakkad, the temple’s Koothambalam (traditional temple theatre) and a huge Mizhavu (a percussion instrument) inside it are the major attractions in the temple.
