Thulam Sankramam at Mujungavu

Sree Mujungavu Parthasarathi Krishna Deva Temple, located about three kilometres away from Kumble in Kasaragod is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The major festival celebrated here is on the Thulam Sankramam day and is a seven-day festival.

On Thulam Sankramam day, devotee visits the temple to have a dip in the holy lake in front of the temple. It is believed that the water in the lake has unique power for curing skin diseases. Before going to worship the deity, devotees offer handfuls of rice and horse gram to the holy water and will complete around the lake and will have a dip in the waters.
