Ada Dosa


Idli rice – 1 cup
Urad dal – ¼ cup
Bengal gram dal – ¼ cup
Chopped shallots – 1 tsp
Chopped ginger – 1 tsp
Chopped Green chilies – 3 nos
Dried red chilies – 5 nos
Chopped curry leaves – a few
Salt - as required
Oil - as required
Water - as required
Asafoetida – ¼ tsp

Method of Preparation:

Soak rice, urad dal and Bengal gram dal in enough water overnight. The next day add dried red chilies to this and grind coarsely. Add ginger, green chilies, curry leaves, asafoetida and salt to this. Grind again for a minute. Batter is ready now. Keep the dosa pan on flame. Spread gingelly oil in it. Pour a spoon of batter in it and spread it to form a round shape. Now pour 1 tsp of oil around the dosa and fry it till both the sides are well cooked.
