Banana Pulissery

Ripe plantain – 3 nos (cut in round shape)
Big Green Chilly – 4 nos
Shallots – 4 nos
Chili powder ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Fenugreek seeds– ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – as required
Salt – as required
Sugar – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Set curd – 2 cups
Grated coconut – 1 ½ cup
Dried red chilies – 4 nos
Oil – as required
Method of Preparation:
Cook plantain along with dry curry powders (chili, turmeric), salt and big green chilies. To this add ground mixture of coconut, cumin seeds, shallots and curry leaves. Mash it and add curd to it. In another pan, add oil and splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds. Add dried red chilies and curry leaves. Add this to the curry along with sugar.
(Note: - Same method can be followed for pineapple pulissery).
