Chicken Ularthu

Chopped chicken – ½ Kg
Shallots cut into two – 1 cup
Green chilies slit to two – 5 nos
Crushed ginger and garlic – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Salt – as required
Chili powder – 1 ½ tsp
Pepper powder – 1 ½ tsp
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Curry leaves – as required
Oil – as required
Method of Preparation:
Cook chicken with salt, chili powder, turmeric powder and pepper powder along with required amount of water. In a pan, add 2 tsp of oil. Add shallots, coconut and green chilies. Sauté well and grind it to make a fine paste. In the same pan, add 2 tsp of oil. Add ginger, garlic, ground paste and cooked chicken pieces into it. Mix well and cook with lid closed till the gravy thickens. Garnish with curry leaves.
