Coconut Chammanthi with Coriander


Dried coriander seeds – 2 tsp
Grated coconut – 3 cups
Chili powder – ¾ tsp
Green chilies – 3 nos
Shallots – 6 nos
Curry leaves – as required
Salt – as required
Tamarind – lemon sized

Method of Preparation:

In a pan add coriander seeds and roast it well. Make sure they don’t get burned. Grind the roasted coriander seeds, grated coconut, chili powder, green chilies, shallots, curry leaves, tamarind and salt. It is ideal to grind them using the grinding stone like ancient times.
