Kerala Style Chicken Curry


Chopped chicken with bone – ½ Kg
Crushed ginger – 1 tsp
Crushed garlic – 1 tsp
Chili powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 4 tsp
Curd – 2 tsp
Dry coconut slices (one inch length) – 3 tsp
Coconut oil – as required
Sliced onions – 3 nos
Salt – as required
Curry leaves – as required
Coriander leaves – as required

Method of Preparation:

Marinate chicken with dry curry powders (chili, coriander), crushed ginger, garlic, salt and curd for half an hour. In a hot pan, add 3 tsp of oil. Add onion and sauté. Now add chicken with curry leaves, coconut pieces and cook with the lid closed. Let the gravy thicken. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
