Ingredients:

Semolina (Bombay Rava) – 1 cup
Ghee – ¾ cup
Sugar – 1 ½ cup
Boiled water – 2 cups
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Milk – 2 tsp
Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
Cashew nuts – ½ cup
Raisins – ¼ cup

Method of Preparation:

Roast semolina with ghee till it turns golden brown. To this add 2 cups of water. Lower the flame and sauté continuously. When semolina mixture thickens, add sugar. Add turmeric powder mixed in milk to the semolina mixture. Fry cashew nuts and raisins in ghee and add to it. Mix it well. When the sugar dissolves completely, it will be of semi liquid consistency. Now remove from the flame and allow the mixture to cool. When it cools down, it will solidify. Cut into desired shapes and garnish with raisins and cashews.
