Mulakitta Chicken Curry


Chicken cut in medium – ½ Kg
Chopped onion – 1 cup
Chopped green chilies – ¼ cup
Chopped ginger and garlic – 2 tsp each
Curry leaves – as required
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Kashmiri chili powder – 2 tsp
Pepper powder – ¼ tsp
Coconut oil – as required
Salt – as required
Coriander leaves – ¼ cup

Method of Preparation:

In a pan, add 4 tsp of oil. Add curry leaves, green chilies, ginger and garlic. Add the chicken pieces, salt and all the dry powders (turmeric, Kashmiri chili, pepper) and sauté well. Add required amount of water. Cook with lid closed and let the gravy thicken. Garnish with coriander leaves.
