Parippu Vada


Toor dal – ½ cup
Channa dal – ½ cup
Shallots cut in round – ½ cup
Chopped curry leaves - as required
Chopped green chilies – 2 nos
Salt - as required
Chopped ginger – 1 tsp
Chili powder – ½ tsp
Oil – for frying

Method of Preparation:

Soak both the dals in water for 2 hours. Grind it coarsely (it should have bits after grinding). To this add chili powder, shallots, ginger, curry leaves and salt. Mix well. Make small balls of it. Flatten it using hands. Deep fry it in oil. For rasa vada, add rasam to it.
