Prawns Roast


Cleaned prawns – ½ Kg
Chopped onion – 2 cups
Green chilies – 6 nos
Chopped ginger and garlic – 2 tsp each
Chopped tomato – ½ cup
Chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 3 tsp
Pepper powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Curry leaves - as required
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Coconut oil - as required
Salt - as required
Sugar – ½ tsp

Method of Preparation:

In a pan, add ¼ cup of coconut oil. Add onion, ginger, green chilies, garlic. Sauté well. To this add tomatoes, salt, dry powders (chili, coriander, and pepper), water and cleaned prawns. Close the lid and cook. Let it get almost cooked. Now remove the lid and when the oil floats on the top, mix it till the gravy combines well with the prawns. Add curry leaves, coriander leaves and sugar. Mix well and serve hot.
