Uppum puliyum

Uppum puliyum or Saltiness ‘n sourness.

This curry is great both for mixing in with rice and also for having on its own, and can be prepared in a jiffy.

Chop shallots into small pieces. Mix into it, using only your fingers, green chillies, tamarind and salt. Now add a little water and your Uppum puliyum is ready. The combination of spiciness, sourness and saltiness is what makes this dish a winner.
