The annual ‘revathy pooja’ festival held at Achankovil Dharmasastha Temple. Held in the Malayalam month of Makaram, during the festival temple and the surrounding premises gets lighted up with wick-lamps. The main event is the ‘pushpabhishekam’ ritual in which the idol of Lord Ayyappa is showered with flowers.
