The elegant 'Padippura' also known as the gatehouse is built reminiscent of Kerala's architectural singularity. There is a interesting collection of personal belongings of the great malayalam poet, the late Vyloppilly Sreedhara Menon in the first floor.
Koothambalam
The cultural complex is proud of its 'Koothambalam' that reminds model of the old Natya-griham at Vadakkumnatha Temple at
Thrissur. Koothambalams or traditional theatres constructed according to the standards set down in Bharata's Natya
Sastra, the ancient treatise on Classical Indian drama are found in many old temples of
Kerala.
Kal-Mandapam
An elegant structure set in stone functions as a unique open-air venue for staging the vibrant folk art forms.
Ranga Mandapam
This hall is ideal for cultural gatherings and cultural shows with a seating capacity of nearly 2000 people and has provision for video projection.
Nirtha-Mandapam
Built in stone with rich artwork this mandapam is named after the late Kalamandalam Kalyanikutti
Amma, a famous danseuse of Kerala.
RESEARCH & DOCUMENTATION BLOCK
Conference Hall
This a the ground floor hall with a seating capacity for 500 people is for conducting seminars and is scheduled to be converted into multiple purpose convention hall with audio and video conferencing facilities.
Cultural Digital Archives
Designed to function as the first of its kind digital archives in India, the digital archive at the first floor aims to document all the nuances of Kerala's cultural landscape.
Digital Studio
Housed at the second floor is a full-fledged studio with modern equipments for recording, mixing and editing catering to the needs of documentation purposes.
ART GALLERIES & MUSEUM BLOCK
Sangeetha Nritha Museum
At the ground floor is the music and dance museum created with the objective of showcasing the evolution, practices and systems of these expressions.
Library
The library at the first floor has an extensive collection of books, periodicals and other reference materials on Kerala's culture.
Class Room
The second floor of this block can be converted into a classroom where creative interactions and training sessions on art and culture can be organized.
